Must be reliable, fun and engaging for Resident activities.
Must be upbeat, energetic and have a caring personality Must be reliable Must work as a team player Outgoing, warm, and caring personality Ability to create a program to get Residents involved and excited Dependable, Reliable and able to supervise activities, special events for the Residents Creative talents in one or more areas such as art, music, readings, dance, etc Demonstrates good listening and communication skills and follow through.
Preferred two years' experience in recreation in a geriatric setting, ability to work effectively as a team member Requirements:
A high school diploma and certain certifications may be required.
More education or experience with nursing homes, short-term rehabilitation, recreational activities, event planning, or related may be preferred.
Physical fitness's, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands.
Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
Excellent resource management and record-keeping Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
Flexibility to work when needed, especially some evenings, weekends and holidays.
Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
